Ride into winter!

Well, hello there, StarFam! Did you hear those sleigh bells ringing, too? You’re not going crazy, we promise - sleighs have appeared all over Jorvik to bring you to the Winter Village!

You will be able to travel to the Winter Village until January 8, 2020. This leaves you plenty of time to explore all the adventures the village has to offer!

Welcome back to the magical Winter Village!

Jorvik isn’t a place where snow is a common sight, but you’ve got all the snow you can wish for at the Winter Village! Here, Santa is preparing for the holidays along with his little helpers, who often are more of a problem than a help. Your assistance might be needed here, so venture to Jorvik and ride into winter with your friends!

Join us for lots of holiday fun!

There’s plenty to do in the Winter Village:
★ Meet Santa and his charming helpers!
★ Who is trying to sabotage the holidays? Help Santa find the village grinch and save the holidays!
★ Have a snack with your friends at the village café, or chill out by the new camping grounds at the edge of the village!
★ Visit all the cool clothing shops!
★ Get the unique ice horse Brinicle!
★ Find hidden helpers in the snow to get Winter Tokens, which you can trade for some new rewards!
★ Transform your horse into a reindeer!

Are you ready? Find one of these sleighs as soon as possible to get started!

Tip: If you check “Limited Time Event” in your map settings, you’ll be able to see exactly where you can find each and every sleigh on Jorvik!

Before you can ride into the Winter Village, you need to have completed the quest where Justin Moorland gives you a brush, a hoof pick, and a bucket.

Find a sleigh and talk to the helper to travel to the Winter Village!

The Ice Boutique

Every time you perform a task or enter a race in the Winter Village, you’ll be rewarded with Winter Tokens. They are super important since you need them in order to be able to collect the goodies from the magical Ice Boutique!

In the Ice Boutique, you exchange your well-deserved Tokens for beautiful rewards, ranging from a brand new outfit set to a special holiday look for your horse! There are a total of 13 items to collect (including a special deer powder, a popular deer mask and a fun beard decoration), so make sure to get out there and collect those Tokens!

Trade your way to beautiful items from the Ice Boutique!

Some of you might have winter-themed Tokens saved from previous celebrations, and they are not valid this year. However, you can sell them for Jorvik Shillings, or keep them as something to remember the holidays by!

Help Santa out!

Someone is trying to sabotage the holidays, and Santa is beginning to suspect it’s an inside job. His little helpers are eager to please, but sometimes they are having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit… go talk to Santa to solve this mystery!

Meet Brinicle!

Some of you might remember this charmer from last year - the cool Brinicle! This beautiful magic horse is sometimes known as the Floe Unicorn by Wild Wardens due to its special, frozen mane, and that’s not all. It’s also known to be the most cold-blooded of all known horse breeds, so touch this frosty fur at your own risk; it’s super chilly!

Brinicle is a magic horse, which means its colors change depending on your location on Jorvik. Out in the wilderness, the Floe Unicorn flourishes, while it takes on the form of a beautiful roan draft whenever you enter more populated areas. Two horses in one, fancy that!

Brinicle will be yours for 599 Star Coins and is for now only available for as long as the Winter Village is open! You’ll find the horse behind Santa’s house.

If you already own Brinicle since last year, you might have noticed that its breed description has been updated!

Brinicle is just as beautiful in its magic form as in its normal one!

Reindeer Bonanza!

If you talk to the helper next to the cool reindeers, you’ll be able to buy magical powders, which transform the horse you’re riding into… A REINDEER! This effect lasts for 30 minutes, and when the time is up, your horse transforms back again.

The powders come in three different colors and either in single packs or in packs of 5, 10, and 15, which are a little cheaper. You can use these powders on any horse you like, and they will continue to work even after the holidays!

There’s also a fourth reindeer color to be found! You can get your hands on it by trading Winter tokens in the Ice Boutique. You can use this reindeer as many times as you like until January 8, 2020!

Here’s how to transform your horse into a reindeer:
★ Buy a reindeer powder from the store that sells them.
★ Dismount from your horse, and drag the powder from your backpack to your horse.
★ Ta daa!

The marketplace

In the Village, you’ll find several shops around the marketplace. Here you’ll find a huge range of pretty holiday items from past celebrations - along with some new additions!

You’ll look like a winter queen in this outfit!

Limited golden stars!

For as long as you can access the Winter Village, you’ll be able to collect 6 golden stars in the area!

If you found the golden stars last year, you will not be able to find them again.

We like to move it, move it!

One Haflinger from Valedale has moved to the Horse Market instead!
