Hi StarFam! We’ve reached December, which means that everyone in Jorvik is preparing for the winter holidays. December also brought the return of some very special sleighs...

The Winter Village!

Jorvik is a magical place with many different climates across the island, but since snow tends to melt away quickly around here, Santa Claus decided to keep his holiday celebrations to his very own village. In the Winter Village he can prepare for the holidays along with his little helpers in peace and quiet!

The Winter Village will be available in the game up until January 2, 2019.

Welcome to the Winter Village!

In the Winter Village there’s loads to do:
★ Meet Santa and his charming helpers!
★ Who is trying to sabotage Christmas? Help Santa find the village grinch and save the holidays!
★ Have a snack with your friends at the village café, or chill out by the new camping grounds at the edge of the village!
★ Participate in two fun races on the slippery ice covered lake!
★ Visit all the cool clothing shops!
★ Find hidden helpers in the snow to get Christmas Wishes, which you can trade in for some new rewards!
★ Transform your horse into a reindeer!

The Winter Village is the ultimate holiday location!

To travel to the Winter Village, talk to any of the elves on the sleighs that can be found in the following places:

★ The Riding Hall
★ Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur

Before you can travel to the Winter Village, you need to have completed the quest where Justin Moorland gives you a brush, a hoof pick, and a bucket.

Help Santa!

Who's trying to sabotage Christmas? Santa has noticed some strange things going on in the Village, and he needs your help to investigate this mystery and save Christmas!

Jingle's slippery race!

Jingle the Race Helper LOVES races! He’s in charge of a super fun race across the slippery ice on the village lake. Talk to him by the sleigh landing site to try out the race. Just don’t forget your sleigh permit- oh, you don’t have a sleigh permit? If you’re lucky Jingle and his colleague Jangle might let you test the race anyway!

Gruggle's lost yule goats!

A sleigh permit doesn’t guarantee success, which Gruggle the Delivery Helper is well aware of. He’s been in a minor accident and lost some gifts he was about to deliver to Santa – and didn’t he have some live yule goats around just a few minutes ago? Go find Gruggle on the lake ice to help him through a totally wild race!

The Ice Cave!

Outside the magical Ice Cave you’ll find a Little Helper who would like some help to find christmas hats. If you help him he’ll let you into the cave, where you can exchange Christmas Wishes for special items!

Help the Helper to find more hats every day to get more Christmas Wishes to trade! You also get Wishes by participating in races or completing quests around the Village.

To be able to speak to the Little Helper you need to have visited Santa after you first arrive in the Winter Village.

REINDEERS?!

Ever wondered what it’s like riding a reindeer? Well, now’s your chance to find out! In one of the Christmas Village stores, you can buy magical powders that transform your horse into a cool reindeer! This awesome effect lasts for 30 minutes, before your horse gets its normal appearance back.

The powders come in three different colors, in single packs or packs of 5, 10, and 15 that are a little cheaper. You can use these powders on any horse you like, and they will continue to work even after the holidays!

There’s also a fourth reindeer color, which those of you who have spent previous holidays in Jorvik will recognize! Get your hands on this color by doing an exchange in the Ice Cave. You can use this reindeer as many times as you like until January 2!

Here’s how to transform your horse into a reindeer:
★ Buy a reindeer powder from the store that sells them.
★ Dismount your horse, and drag the powder from your backpack to your horse.
★ Ta daa!

Which one of these fun reindeers is your favorite?

Clothes, clothes, and clothes!

For as long as you can travel to the Winter Village, you can shop in all the cool stores around the town square! Here you’ll find loads of winter themed items, and in one of the stores you’ll also find some fun fake beards in different colors!

Deck the Mall!

The Jorvik City Mall janitor is swamped with work during the holiday season, and could really do with some help adding some holiday sparkle to the mall. He’d be super happy if you stopped by to lend him a helping hand!

In order to play this quest, you need to have completed the quest where you deliver a package from Jorvik City Mall to James in Fort Pinta.

The Bonus Shop

A new item is available in the Moorland Bonus Shop to all of you who got Star Rider by one-time payment!

The Horse Market

Eddie and Ferdinand couldn’t wait to visit the Winter Village, so they’re closed for business this week. They’re back again next Wednesday by the Cape West Fishing Village!
