Championships Galore!

Not familiar with championships? Let us catch you up! Championships are daily competitions around Jorvik that every player can race in as long as they have access to the area. To take part, just ride to the area of the championship and talk to the championship manager within 5 minutes before the race starts.

You will be divided into groups of up to 20, sorted by progress in the game. The three players with the best times in each group gets a ribbon! Plus every participant gets Jorvik Shillings, Horse XP and now also gains reputation with the championship (only the revamped ones, for now)! Championships are also a great way to meet other real players and to play with your friends.

Our three most popular championships will be revamped during Championships Galore! This week, we're starting with Moorland.

Now what’s a JERC?

JERC stands for the Jorvik Elite Racing Committee! This is a brand-new committee responsible for officially hosting, governing and sponsoring all championships.They’re also here to properly introduce new and old players to championships! For now, you will meet Agnes, but more JERC members will introduce themselves in the future.

Find Agnes at the Moorland Championship Hub! She will have a daily quest to complete one championship.

You must have reached player level 5 to participate in Championships and meet Agnes.

Revamped Moorland Championship

As mentioned, the Moorland Championship is now better than ever. First of all, each revamped championship will get its own host. Bobcat, Tamika, is now your representative in Moorland! Fun fact: Tamika moved to Jorvik from Barbados when she was three. Her favorite food is cheesy pizza!

The Moorland Championship is in Bobcat territory, so of course, that means pink! The Bobcat color and logo are featured all over the championship hub and race. There’s also pink smoke?! Plus a ton of new obstacles — keep your eyes out!

We suggest turning the snow toggle off, so you don’t miss any of the details and obstacles of the race!

Championship Schedule

We also updated the weekly championship schedule. There is a lower frequency of championships in general, but more during peak hours and weekends. During special occasions (like now!) we will up the frequency even more. We’re starting today with more Moorland championships! Head to any championship hub to see the schedule.

A few changes!

To prepare for our Horse Progression update, we’ve made a few quality of life changes that have to do with horses!

★The amount of XP required per horse level has been re-distributed across all 15 levels. Upon first logging in after this change, you may notice your horse has dropped a level at certain points. They haven't lost any experience points! But now the level will align with the new system. This overall change should make it feel faster to level up your horse.

★The speed gained from riding on roads has been removed. This gives us freedom to apply speed boosts in other places.

★The Horse Trainer price has dropped! It now costs a total of 1000 Star Coins to level a horse up from 1 to 15, where previously it was almost 3000 Star Coins.

★We added a player stat cap to level 25. When you reach level 25 you will no longer receive higher stats.

★From now on new players won't have a huge disadvantage in speed. We have increased the speed for new players and their low level horses. This ensures everyone gets a great start to their Jorvik journeys!

High Score Reset

To get Championships Galore started, we are resetting the high scores on all the championships.
