The Amazing Appaloosa!

Hey StarFam! This week the colorful Appaloosa gets a makeover!

The updated Appaloosa

In the Pacific Northwest on the Columbia Plateau, the Nimíipuu people, called the Nez Percé, developed one of the world’s most colorful breeds. Named by white settlers after the Palouse River, the Appaloosa are descendants of the Spanish horses brought to the Americas. No two Appaloosa look the same, coming in every base color and several different spotting patterns. They are loyal companions, courageously staying by your side through any adventure, as unique and special as you!

Now you can check out the unique patterns on the six, new Appaloosa that have made their way to Jorvik!

What's the new breed?
The updated Appaloosa!

Where can I get it?
One horse is available in Fort Pinta and the rest have found a home at Steve’s Farm.

How much does it cost?
900 Star Coins.

What level do I have to be?
Anyone can get the Appaloosa in Fort Pinta. To get the other variations, you must have reached level 11.

How many coat variations do they have?
There are six beautiful colors and patterns for you to choose from.

What mane styles do they have?
In addition to the Appaloosa’s messy mohawk, the four standard mane styles are available to purchase: roached, mohawk, competition buds and braids. You can also purchase three, new extra mane styles!

Is there anything else I should know?
The Jorvik Appaloosa has a unique gait! The Appaloosa breeders of Jorvik cultivated this rare gait, prized by the Nez Percé and ranch hands alike, and called it the Appy Amble! Keep your horse at a walk and ask it to speed up while holding down the SHIFT key to ride in this gait!

Western Rope Halters

The new rope halters are exclusive to the updated Appaloosa. These halters are perfect for keeping your companion by your side on all your Jorvik adventures! Find them at Starshine Ranch and the Global Store!

Why can’t I wear the halter on more horses?

It takes a lot of time to fit bridles to horses we already have in-game and it can often be tricky. For now, we are focusing on having the rope halter on the Appaloosa and upcoming horses. Retrofitting to previous horses is an ongoing process!
