Meet Shadowshield and Snowdancer

Hey StarFam! It’s the second week of winter and new magical horses have joined in on the festivities!

Shadowshield and Snowdancer

Shadowshield is one of Jorvik’s night spirits, a kind horse who guards those who venture into the darkness. Snowdancer is one of Jorvik’s winter spirits, a benevolent but proud horse that does not take insults lightly. Every winter they meet, dancing and running together through and above the snow, the darkest night of the year meeting with the brightest white snow. Shadowshield and Snowdancer take the form of an Arabian, a breed as enduring as the night sky. Like other magical Jorvegian horses they can disguise their true colors, especially if they don’t trust a person.

Shadowshield and Snowdancer have a home in the Winter Village for its remaining 5 weeks. They will vanish into the night during the Wednesday update on January 12th, only reappearing when winter arrives once more.

These winter spirits will join your family for 950 Star Coins each. Keep in mind you won’t be able to change their mane style.

Shadowshield and Snowdancer are happiest when racing with each other under a clear night sky!

Winter Pets

Shadowshield and Snowdancer brought along their cute companions. Their feathered friend, the Observant Owl, prefers to hang back and watch everything around. The Proud Penguin is bolder, getting your attention with laughs or with snuggles! Make one your forever friend for 400 Star Coins.

To make the Observant Owl fly next to you, place it in a saddlebag attached to your horse’s saddle and press “P”! If you do the same with the Proud Penguin, he will gleefully slide alongside you!

Unicorn Bridles

These bridles are adorned with a horn and gold accents that glitter like the snow under a clear, bright sky. They suit your magical horses splendidly, but will also be available year round! Find them in the Winter Village market or the Global Store.

Winter Races

Are you ready for a challenge? We’ve brought back two races to the Winter Village! Tread carefully in the Fast and Frosty Race or take to the sky in the Winter Village Race! If you succeed in crossing the finish line, Warm Wishes will be yours to keep!

These races have been upgraded from last year, so be sure to check them out even if you’ve tried them before!

Warm Wishes

Keep collecting your Warm Wishes to exchange for prizes! And remember, you will only get Warm Wishes the first time you complete a festivity or race every day. Find the helper, Jumble, in the Winter Village to learn more about Warm Wishes and exchange them with the yule goat.

Yule Calendar

In the center of the Winter Village sits a magnificent Yule Tree. Visit each day in December to unwrap a new treat! Pay attention to Fridays when the gifts are extra special. Don’t worry if you miss a day, gifts will be wrapped and waiting until you return! Just don’t forget to collect them all before the Wednesday update on January 12th.
