Hi StarFam! Today brings exciting things for you no matter where you are in the story of the game!
We're continuing with our tech updates behind the scenes, with this week's download time expected to take much longer than last week. In some cases, it may be quicker for you to uninstall and reinstall the game, depending on your computer capabilities and internet speed. Don't panic if things are going slowly or if you feel that you need to reinstall, that's okay!
Now let’s get to the REAL news!
After the events of the Light Ride, you and Soul Rider Linda Chanda have a new mystery to solve! It’s up to the two of you to unravel the story of another girl with magical gifts who found herself caught up with the Soul Riders of a past generation, and figure out what relationship she had with the Druids. In order to figure this all out, Linda will have to tap into the magic of the Moon Circle, and you’re in for an adventure! Meet Linda by her home in Jarlaheim to get started.
This chapter of the Soul Rider story arc is a standalone quest and is not mandatory to complete in order to play future quests with the Soul Riders. This particular chapter will be released in three parts and will bring a fun reward to those who complete it! The next part will be released during the first week of April!
To be able to play this quest, you must be a Star Rider and have found a diary together with Linda after completing the Light Ride.
Join Linda on a magical adventure!
By helping Linda out, you will be able to unlock a brand new section in your Journal! In the Lore Library, you’ll be able to go back to certain Lore Books collected through the game and learn more about the world around you and the characters you meet. There’s more to come to this section of your Journal, for sure!
When you have unlocked the Lore Library, click on the collection you want to explore on the left-hand page and then pick the entry you want to read from the right-hand page!
The Soul Riders are now updated in all quests throughout the game! This is not a drill - no matter where you are in the Soul Rider story arc, you’ll now see our fancy new Soul Rider designs, and of course they are accompanied by their gorgeous horses.
Updated Soul Riders for everyone!
The Druids are preparing for some brand new activities and in order to do so, we’ll have to say goodbye to the Druid training in the Druid paddock, but only temporarily! It will return in some shape or form in the future.
This change does not hinder your gameplay in any way, and if you’re still working on your reputation with the Sun Circle you’ll instead be able to move on with other quests immediately.
In next week’s news article we’ll tell you more about the activities coming soon to the Druid paddock area - stay tuned!
We have gone back through our many quests in Silverglade and Goldenhills Valley and made changes to some of their dependencies. This means several things have changed throughout the game:
★ In your quest log, you’ll now clearly see what quests are main story quests (the story with the Druids and the Soul Riders), and what quests are sidequests.
★ For some quests, we’ve changed the requirements for how and when they’re unlocked to clean up some of the confusion about how to progress through the story. This also means quests will be a bit more evenly spaced out per level, as some have been moved closer to the beginning of the game and some have been moved to later levels. This does not affect the quests you have already completed.
★ We have removed some day-blockers where you have to sleep overnight or wait until the next day to continue, while we added day-blockers to other quests where it made more sense to take a break before continuing.
★ We have removed the reputation factions Keepers of Aideen: The Sun Circle, Keepers of Aideen: The Lightning Circle, and Keepers of Aideen: The Inner Lightning Circle, along with the reputation quests tied to them to give you a smoother, less confusing (we heard your frustrated feedback!) experience playing our main story.
★ When we released Goldenhills Valley in 2012, our intention was for our players to unlock our lovely autumnal valley at level 12. When more and more quests were added, many players went on other journeys instead and sometimes couldn’t unlock the valley until higher levels. We’ve changed the dependencies for unlocking Goldenhills Valley, and you will now be able to unlock it at level 12 as long as you have visited the Secret Stone Circle previously.
★ Some quests previously given out by Elizabeth have now been handed over to other NPC’s, to prevent players from getting stuck in quests after rescuing Anne from Pandoria.
★ Some quests have received minor text rewrites to make sure that they still make sense along with these changes.
These changes do NOT affect the XP you collect when playing.
Every week we’re sharing one of our fun videos - sometimes a brand new one, sometimes a nostalgic throwback! Here’s the video of the week:
Epic things are happening at our HQ, and good things come to those who wait. Next week’s update will be a bit on the smaller side, but according to the rumors, Farah the Druid designer is making a permanent home in Jorvik! Also, make sure to read our news article next Wednesday to learn more about SOUL RIDING!
See you soon again!
Lots of love from the Star Stable Team ♥
